Events

Lucy Tyrrell began converting lawn to prairie garden beds in 2018 and has added an additional prairie bed area each year since then. She also has encouraged wetland species (e.g., marsh marigold, cardinal flower, turtlehead, jewelweed) in a low area, and has planted shrubs, including winterberry, at the woods edge. The gardens are an example of what one person can do, and may give ideas to others.

Lucy is offering two tours, each capped at six guests, Monday, August 7, at 4 pm and 6 pm. Address, directions, and additional details will be shared via email following registration.
